John Mayer's practice focuses primarily on Commercial Litigation, Health Care, Real Estate, and Title Insurance. Mr. Mayer represents companies and individuals in both state and federal courts in a variety of matters, including basic contract disputes, real estate property, construction, landlord-tenant, franchise/distribution, and employment and civil rights litigation. Mr. Mayer advises clients on structuring real estate transactions, foreclosures, title and title insurance claims and issues, and tax deferred exchanges of investment property. His significant experience with health care law, includes health insurance coverage, device and pharmaceutical development, insurance defense, and clinical trials.

Mr. Mayer graduated from the George Washington University Law School in 2004. While in law school he clerked for the Coverage and Analysis Group of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and was an advisor to the Washington, D.C. Health Insurance Counseling Project. Prior to law school, Mr. Mayer earned a Master of Public Health from the University of Utah School of Medicine and a B.A. from the University of Utah. While at the University of Utah, Mr. Mayer was also the editor of the Hinckley Journal of Politics. He enjoys the outdoors and University of Utah football with his wife and three children.
